Vocational 护理 Program
The Vocational 护理 Program at Feather River College is designed for students interested in a career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). 学生 are prepared for employment within the healthcare system upon obtaining their license after graduation, and are provided with knowledge and clinical experience in all areas of nursing. Coursework includes pharmacology, medical and surgical nursing, obstetrics and pediatric nursing. 学生 interact with physicians, 护理人员, and other healthcare providers at local and regional hospitals where, under the supervision of the instructor, the students are provided with diverse hands-on educational and clinical experiences. The Vocational 护理 Program offers a Certificate of Achievement or an Associate of Science Degree in Vocational 护理. Following completion of the coursework the student is qualified to take the national licensure exam, 的NCLEX-PN. Upon passing 的NCLEX-PN, the graduate will then apply for licensure from the Board of Vocational 护理 and Pyschiatric Technicians (BVNPT).

Licensed Vocational Nurses
Licensed Vocational Nurses practice under the direction of a licensed Physician or Registered Nurse and are trained to perform services requiring technical and manual nursing skills to provide basic nursing services which include the following:
- Uses and practices basic assessment (data collection), participates in planning, executes interventions in accordance with the care plan or 治疗 plan, and contributes to evaluation of individualized interventions related to the care plan or 治疗 plan.
- Provides direct patient/client care
- Performs basic nursing services
- Administers medications
- Applies communication skills in patient care and education
- Participates in patient education to promote self-care skills
