Purpose of FRC's Online Course Offerings

The online and hybrid courses at FRC offer flexible and accessible ways for students to complete general education requirements toward their degree. These general education courses are an opportunity to explore and appreciate the lives and experiences of peoples and cultures in our society and around the world, and the history and social forces in peoples’ lives. In these courses, students will learn to clearly and critically express thoughts and ideas about the physical and life sciences, the humanities, and literature. They will also form an understanding and appreciation of the arts and how to enjoy them. Most of all, these courses cultivate students' desire and capability to learn. 学生 can achieve these goals with an intentionally planned general education pathway. 学生 should actively seek the online and/or hybrid courses in subject areas that may challenge their world views or assumptions and offer new experiences. The online and hybrid general education courses at FRC are designed to help students begin the process of becoming educated and productive members of society.
