Nurses are healthcare professionals that have a direct impact on the health and wellbeing of individuals and populations. Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) are employed in a wide variety of settings, such as:

Those that are interested in continuing up the nursing career ladder can progress by enrolling in a bridge program, also known as LVN-to-RN step up program. 通常, this involves 12-18 months of additional coursework and clinical instruction before obtaining licensure as an RN.
Nurses that are interested in obtaining leadership roles in their field can continue on to obtain Master’s degrees in 护理 Education, Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner, 护士助产士, 护士麻醉师, and Clinical Nurse Specialist. Those that are interested in nursing research or advanced practice can obtain their PhD or Doctorate of 护理 Practice, 分别.

Through 盟军的健康 at FRC, students will achieve the ability to:
- Articulate knowledge of health care concepts, including professional ethics, HIPAA合规, 医学术语, 客户关怀, pharmacology (as dictated by Ca. state Law) and pathophysiology
- Demonstrate ability to manage electronic health records and databases,客户记录, and health care reporting processes
- Model collaboration skills while working with clients and their families and all health care professionals

- Possess knowledge and life skills necessary to provide safe, effective and efficient care, which enables the student to adapt to living and working in a multicultural environment and provide health maintenance and promotion in a global context
